Over the years Corporations or Individuals were able to bypass tax filings and corporate formalities since the Central and Local government had not been a good enforcer of such rules and neglected to follow up on these matters. Times have changed in Honduras and the Tax Authority (DEI) has created an anti-evasion Tax unit which mission is to search, enforce and collect taxes or tax information, taking advantage of all applicable legislation and technology.

More than ever, the time has come to be ready and prepared to avoid fines or sanctions with the Honduran Tax authority.
